As of yesterday, John and I have lived in Sudan for two months! That sounds like a long time to me, but really the weeks have gone so quickly. We feel settled now that we have set-up our little room, learned how to cook some American foods with local ingredients, gotten a better idea of what is required in our jobs, and even made some friends!
On Friday we had some friends over for a pizza party and it really felt like we were inviting people into our home… despite the security guards, lizards, oppressive heat, and loud hum of the generator.
The weirdest part? That now, this isn’t weird at all.
