Tomorrow the Marpins are off from work in honor of SPLA (Sudan People's Liberation Army) Day. When I asked my office-mate what the holiday was all about she explained:
"This SPLA Day, it is really so big. No shops will even be open! The soldiers will be walking around with long, long sticks and if they catch any businesses open, they will beat them so thoroughly. They should not be working; they should be celebrating the peace!"
So there you go. Celebrate the peace tomorrow! Or else!
