GROSS? More like awesome.
USA, UK, DRC ("Relax, Mom--it's a democratic republic. It's a lovely place!" - real quote.) It seems like everyone's got to have an acronym these days. Stephanie has highlighted an unfortunate uptick in the use of ROSS for the Republic of South Sudan. However, ROSS faces stiff competition from RSS. I'm undecided. If RSS sticks, the blogger geek in me will be looking forward to the creation of a new agricultural NGO called RSS Feed. If ROSS wins, the Government of Southern Sudan, previously the governing entity of a semi-autonomous region within Sudan, becomes... the Government of the Republic of South Sudan.
